Position/Project Overview:
Project Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Structures Technician for the civil engineering and acquisition support services to the U.S. Air Force’s 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron at Hurlburt Field, Florida. The Structures Technician will support the engineering and construction projects by performing repairs, maintenance, and construction activities related to building structures and facilities. This role focuses on structural systems, including renovations, building envelopes, and roofing, ensuring work meets applicable standards and project requirements.
This role is contingent upon award of project.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform repairs and construction work related to building structures and facilities
- Support structural maintenance and renovation activities, including building envelope and roofing systems
- Assist in construction and infrastructure projects involving structural components
- Ensure all work complies with project requirements, engineering standards, and applicable regulations
- Support facility repairs and improvements across structures and buildings
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and project personnel on structural work activities
- Participate in inspections and evaluations of structural work to ensure quality and accuracy
- Maintain and document work performed, repairs, and project activities
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and environmental requirements during all work activities
Required Education, Skills, and Abilities:
Education/Certification:
- No specific formal education degree required
Experience:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a DoD or commercial structures technician
- Experience must include repairs or construction work related to building structures and facilities
- Must have experience in structural systems, including building renovation, building envelope, roofing systems
Key Attributes & Skills:
- Strong ability to perform structural repairs and construction work on facilities and buildings
- Knowledge of building systems, including renovations, building envelope, and roofing
- Experience supporting infrastructure and facility construction projects
- Ability to ensure work complies with project requirements, engineering standards, and regulations
- Capability to support inspections and evaluate structural work quality and accuracy
- Strong understanding of construction practices and structural systems
- Ability to coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and project personnel
- Skills in documenting work performed, repairs, and project activities
- Strong attention to detail in performing and verifying structural work
- Ability to follow safety standards and environmental requirements during all activities
- Familiarity with DoD, federal, or large-scale commercial infrastructure projects is highly beneficial
- Ability to work independently with self-discipline and minimal supervision
- Professional appearance and conduct at all times
- Physical ability to see, hear, walk, drive, climb, reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
