ABOUT THE POSITION
PSI is seeking a seasoned Human Resource Generalist to join our team at our Rapid City home office. Under the HR Manager, the HR Generalist is responsible for various functions within the Human Resources department, including assisting with talent management, employee relations, benefits, leave administration, reporting, and the administration of company policies.
The ideal person to join the PSI team in this role has proven expertise in the broader field of Human Resources or an HR specialty. To be a competent HR Generalist, you should be patient and compassionate, have a strong understanding of HR law, policies, and decision-making, have excellent listening skills, and be able to multitask effectively in an office setting where the pace of work changes regularly.
ABOUT YOU
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
- An Associate's degree and years of experience may be considered for the right candidate
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Human Resources
- Strong ability to multitask and make sound decision-making
- Superb conflict resolution skills
- Ability to display integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times
- Strong knowledge of laws and regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficient in HRIS and talent management systems
- Organized and competent in computer filing
- The ability to communicate effectively within the HR Department and with other department teams
- Meet or exceed deadlines consistently
PREFERENCES:
- HR Certification, such as PHR or SHRM-CP
- Experience in one or more of the following HR specialties
