Position Overview:
Project Solutions Inc. is building a talent pool of highly skilled and experienced Field Inspectors in the construction industry with a minimum of 10 years of expertise in construction inspection. Field Inspectors in this role will be responsible for ensuring construction projects adhere to safety standards, building codes, and other regulatory requirements. Successful candidates will have strong knowledge of construction processes and the ability to assess and report on the quality of work across various construction phases.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Conduct inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.
  • Review construction drawings, plans, and specifications to verify the work being performed meets the required standards.
  •  Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, issues, and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Identify potential risks and hazards on construction sites and provide timely feedback to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, architects, and engineers to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  •  Monitor the construction process to ensure adherence to budget and timeline constraints.
  • Perform inspections at various stages of construction, including foundation, structural, mechanical, electrical, and final inspections.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of quality control procedures on construction sites.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for construction-related issues, offering insights and solutions to enhance project performance.
Required Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in construction inspection, including the inspection of civil, infrastructure, or roadwork projects.
  • Construction inspection experience preferably in residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, codes, and regulations.
  • Proven expertise in inspecting and assessing construction quality at various stages of project development.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify issues or discrepancies early in the project.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple inspections and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and resolve construction issues on-site.
  • Relevant certifications such as ICC (International Code Council), NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies), or equivalent are preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction management software or other tools to streamline reporting and documentation is an asset.
