Project Solutions Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Management Representative to join our team and contribute to an exciting project for the Harden Farm Employee Housing located at Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, ME.

Project/Position Overview:

The project involves construction of new multifamily structures (4 buildings) and associated site work for Harden Farm Employee Housing within Acadia National Park. Phase 1a includes two 6-plex (1-bed, 1-bath) units, and Phase 1b includes two dorms (8-bed, 4-bath) units.

This role is contingent upon award.

Essential Duties:

  • Arrange, attend and facilitate a variety of meetings, including weekly meetings at the project site. 
  • Document issues encountered and problems experienced with the construction contractor. 
  • Review contractor's baseline and progress schedules.
  • Draft project related correspondence for NPS to review and issuance 
  • Inspect the work of the construction contractor for progress, workmanship, quality and conformance with contract documents, applicable building codes and safety standards.
  • Review and process Construction Contractor's RFIs and assist in resolution, draft response, tracking, and follow up.
  • Arrange, attend and facilitate a variety of meetings, including weekly meetings at the project site.

Required Education, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive construction management experience.
  • Experience providing similar services for similar projects.
  • Proficiency in construction management software, including Microsoft Project, Teams, Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, and other industry-standard tools.
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand the construction contract, plans and specifications.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and safety regulations (OSHA 30-hour certification preferred).
  • Minimum of OSHA 30-hour construction safety training preferred.
  • Experience in cost estimating, scheduling, and payment request evaluation.
  • Skill in defining, documenting, and managing scope changes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams, including clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
The work environment may involve exposure to various elements, including extreme weather conditions, loud noise, and potential hazards. Physical demands include frequent sitting, standing, walking, and climbing, as well as occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. The role requires the ability to lift moderate weights and wear personal protective equipment. Frequent travel to job sites may be necessary.
